2006
Sovran Acquisition, LP d/b/a Uncle Bob's Self Storage recently selected
The Palmerton Group, LLC. to provide Phase I and Phase II environmental
assessments for properties under consideration for acquisition. Uncle
Bob's has over 300 locations in 22 states, primarily along the east
coast and the south.
For National Transit Pipeline Company, The Palmerton Group has provided
technical support for investigation and response to leaking tanks and
pipelines in northwestern Pennsylvania.
2005
In collaboration with Rivkin Radler, LLP, Dave Palmerton recently
presented a Continuing Legal Education Program (CLE) to the attorneys at
Rivkin Radler and others from the Long Island area. The presentation
entitled "Geographic Information Systems: A Technical Approach to
Litigation" reviewed the use of GIS systems to maintain complex database
information that can be linked and displayed in a graphic format for use
in environmental litigation cases.

The Palmerton Group, LLC. was selected by Shell Oil Company to manage
the closure of over 1000 oil wells and over 2000 miles of abandoned oil
pipelines in Pennsylvania, New York, and West Virginia. The overall
program is estimated to be a five year $10 Million project.
2004
The Palmerton Group continues to provide litigation support in the form
of technical and geographic analysis and research for two confidential
Fortune 100 companies and their outside counsel. We are providing
specialized research, analysis, and strategic support for various
aspects of cases in both US and foreign courts.
David Palmerton was recently called on by a confidential legal client to
provide an expert opinion letter for environmental issues associated
with a property pivotal to a large public works project in New York
State.
The Palmerton Group, LLC was selected by Rybricon Consulting, Columbus,
Ohio to provide professional geological support for remediation of two
former refineries in northwestern Pennsylvania.
For a petroleum remediation project in Oil City, Pennsylvania, the
Palmerton Group was selected to provide a work plan and oversight for
the construction of a grout slurry barrier wall.
2003
David Palmerton presented a paper at the 2nd International Symposium on
Contaminated Sediments in Quebec City, Canada. The paper entitled:
Contained Aquatic Disposal (CAD) - A Review of Monitoring Programs
presented an overview of CAD projects from around the world and
identified the methods of monitoring.
The Palmerton Group, LLC. has been selected by a confidential client in
Upstate New York to prepare all technical research and planning for a
new limestone aggregate mining operation. The Palmerton Group will
provide a mined land use plan, mining permit application, and other
supporting documents and research as needed.
The Austin American-Statesman called on David Palmerton to provide
expert advice regarding the finding of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons
(PAHs) in a popular creek and swimming area in the heart of Austin,
Texas. Mr. Palmerton provided detailed assessment of city test results
and evaluated the sampling method and analytical process. For more

The Palmerton Group, LLC., has been selected by a prestigious Boston law
firm to assist with litigation and cost allocation support for a
confidential project involving several potentially responsible parties
for a large site having upland and sediment contamination management
issues.
The Palmerton Group is providing Upstate Medical University with
geotechnical consulting services for a proposed 5-story parking garage
construction project in Syracuse, New York. The proposed East Adams
Street project sits on top of a complex mix of soil and rock. The
Palmerton Group provided Upstate with a work plan and specifications for
the drilling project. The Palmerton Group is also providing consultation
and review of the drilling work.
For a Syracuse law firm, The Palmerton Group, LLC. is providing
consulting services for a petroleum contamination problem at a site in
Upstate New York. The Palmerton Group is reviewing several remedial
alternatives and assisting with agency negotiations.
2002
For another Syracuse law firm, The Palmerton Group, LLC. is assisting
with evaluation and closing of a petroleum spill at a facility in
eastern Onondaga County.
Dave Palmerton recently spoke at the Western Dredging Association 22nd
Technical Conference in Denver, Colorado. Mr. Palmerton presented a
paper entitled: Contained Aquatic Disposal (CAD) - An Analysis of
Their Advantages, Limitations, and Costs. The paper was written
with Dr. Ram Mohan and Kim Elenbaas of Blasland, Bouck & Lee, Inc. The
paper provides a review of the use of contained aquatic disposal for
contaminated sediments. CAD is particularly useful for contaminated
sediments in shallow waters where in situ capping is not possible and
upland disposal space for dredged material is limited or unavailable.
